What We Believe
-
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final rule for faith, life, and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21).
-
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, co-equal and co-eternal, yet distinct in role and relationship (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
God the Father - God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is holy, loving, and sovereign. He desires a relationship with His children and reveals His heart through His Word and creation. The Father sent His Son into the world to bring salvation, and through His Spirit, He draws people to Himself. Scripture: Genesis 1:1, John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 8:6
God the Son – Jesus Christ - Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully human while remaining fully God. Born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, taught with authority, and revealed God’s kingdom. He willingly died on the cross for our sins, rose again on the third day, and offers eternal life to all who believe in Him. He is the Savior, Redeemer, and Lord, and one day He will return to reign forever. Scripture: John 1:1,14; Colossians 1:15–20; Philippians 2:5–11
God the Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is the presence of God living within every believer. He comforts, guides, convicts, and empowers us to live a life that honors God. The Spirit gives spiritual gifts to build up the Church, produces fruit in our lives, and reminds us of God’s truth. Through Him we experience God’s presence and power every day and He enables us to live a transformed life and carry out God’s mission. Scripture: John 14:16–17, Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22–23
-
We believe humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin through disobedience. As a result, all people are separated from God and in need of salvation (Genesis 3; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12).
-
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. His death on the cross and resurrection provide forgiveness of sins and eternal life to all who believe and confess Him as Lord (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; John 14:6).
-
We believe water baptism is an outward declaration of an inward transformation. It symbolizes union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. While not necessary for salvation, it is a command of Jesus and an important step of obedience for every believer (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3–4).
-
We believe the Lord’s Supper (Communion) is a sacred ordinance instituted by Jesus Christ. It is a remembrance of His sacrifice, a proclamation of His death, and an anticipation of His return (1 Corinthians 11:23–26; Luke 22:19–20).
-
We believe the universal Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all true believers. The local church is called to worship God, preach the Gospel, disciple believers, serve the community, and live in unity and love (Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 4:11–13).
-
We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ. He will judge the living and the dead, establish His kingdom, and make all things new. Believers will dwell with Him forever (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 21:1–4).
